Safe Kids Oklahoma - Bike Rodeo
Bike Rodeo
857 bicyclists were killed in traffic crashes in the United States in 2018. NHTSA properly-fitted helmets can reduce the risk of head injuries by at least 45% - yet less than half of children 14 and under wear a helmet consistently.
This activity can only be distributed to OKC metro area locations.
Host an event at the local elementary school, church or community center. Safe Kids Oklahoma will provide bicycle licenses, safety stickers, bike helmets, and guidelines for proper helmet use.
Set up a bike rodeo (guide provided) for kids to ride through.
