SEAT BELT RELAY
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ACTIVITY, YOU MUST SIGN UP TO RECEIVE THE FREE TEENS IN THE DRIVER SEAT RESOURCE KIT @ www.t-driver.com.
This is a fast-paced game to show how easy buckling up is.
Park 2 vehicles beside each other, with enough space in between for students to run through. Open doors wide then break group into teams.
Line teams up away from the vehicle. Timekeeper yells “GO” and teams race to seats in the cars.
All team members must get into cars and buckle their seat belts. Official raises a hand when everyone is in and belted up. Timekeeper states the official time.
Times can be posted on a whiteboard and a contest can be held over a time period for fastest time.
Make sure to let participants know how easy and fast buckling up is and there should be no excuses for not wearing a seat belt.
